Years ago I set out to make sunglasses with a couple of friends of mine. Our story was that we wanted to design timeless vintage styles with a better hinge, unlike the bargain hinges that are flimsy and continue to break on even name fashion brands that also use substandard budget-polycarbonate lenses. The brand we had was designed in SF and called Sutro Vision Eyewear. The biz was shut down years ago but I found a few boxes of a limited amount of New Old stock and am now selling the ones that were stored at ridiculously low prices. These originally sold in to retail stores at $150 wholesale and sold at retail at $300 (or more if they were in eyewear/optometry stores) We even made several RX frames (One was for my brother Tommy Guerrero, I do have some of his RX frames in limited numbers, Made in Japan) The brand was featured on the TV shows, Sons of Anarchy, Pushing Daisies, and worn by band members of Mastodon, Social Distortion, and Johnny Marr of The Smiths. We even designed one specifically for James Hetfield of Metallica (long sold out but if you are lucky to own a pair, they fetch $$$$) . I even handed Amy Winehouse a few pairs when she played at a club that I partially owned in San Francisco in April 2007. I'm blowing these out because I need to get them out of my storage space. Use the code reader link on my case to see what styles are available and info. If you want to learn about Barberini lenses you can do so here: https://www.barberinilenses.com/en These are by far the best and the most expense lenses on the market, which is why only a select few brands ever used them.
